Benchmark Performance has been awarded a Brandon Hall Group GOLD award for excellence in the Best Results of a Learning Program category.
In 2023, the First Home Savings Account (FHSA) was a groundbreaking new savings vehicle introduced by the Canadian government. The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) partnered with Benchmark Performance to design and deliver comprehensive training materials for multiple audiences under tight deadlines—all while regulations were still evolving.
The training solution exceeded expectations in every way:
RBC became the first of the Big Five Canadian banks to launch the FHSA among its investment offerings.
On Day 1 of launch, advisors were prepared, informed, and ready to guide clients effectively.
RBC’s client interest and uptake surpassed projections, with results that far outperformed initial business goals.
This collaboration created momentum ahead of the launch, seamlessly aligning training with marketing efforts and ensuring operational readiness to handle client demand.
Remarkable Business Results (as of July 2023):
FHSA account openings were 3.5 times higher than planned.
Assets under administration (AUA) generated were 8 times greater than projected.
65% of clients who opened FHSAs were new to RBC as investment clients.
Over 30% of clients opening accounts had never invested before.
One-third of new FHSA clients established automated contributions, showcasing strong financial engagement.
This success highlights the power of a thoughtful, well-executed learning program to drive tangible business impact.
It’s a rare privilege to witness learning solutions deliver such significant and measurable outcomes. This recognition celebrates the outstanding results achieved through an innovative and collaborative training program. A heartfelt thank you to RBC for entrusting Benchmark with this critical initiative and to everyone who collaborated to make this vision a reality. This GOLD award is a testament to the synergy between innovative training design and exceptional stakeholder engagement. Here's to setting new benchmarks for excellence!
